For active travelers looking for a new adventure experience we have just the opportunity at Espiritu Santo National Park in the Sea of Cortez.

Espiritu Santo is part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is one of the best marine life viewing destinations in the world.

Whales, dolphins, whale sharks, sea turtles, manta rays and plenty of beautiful tropical fish call the surrounding waters home, while a terrific range of bird species frequent the island’s skies and shores.

The island itself is stunning, with magnificent towering cliffs, spectacular sandy bays and amazing lava rock formations making it a remarkable place to explore.  This backdrop is the perfect destination for a small, luxurious tented camp for those looking to immerse in an unspoiled unique ecosystem of desert and sea.

There are no hotels or marinas so the isolation gives you a real sense of being in the wilderness, but sleeping under canvas here is a far cry from usual camping. You get large luxury tents with proper beds, warm showers, chilled cocktails and delicious seafood prepared by a chef.

Here are the answers to questions you might have about this opportunity:

When are you able to do camp on Espiritu Santo?
The camp is normally open from the end of May to mid-September.

How long do you recommend camping for?
You’ll need at least 3-4 days here to get the most out of the various activities available.  If you want to extend your trip and spend the second portion at a resort in Los Cabos we can put together the perfect combination of camping and resort experience for you.

Who is this experience best for?
This is a dream destination for lovers of the sea, nature and the general outdoors. It’s most suitable for couples, groups of friends and families with children ages 7 and up.

How do you get there?
It is best to fly into Los Cabos airport (SJD).  We will arrange for you to arrive at least a day before your camping experience and stay overnight in either Todos Santos or La Paz the night before your camping begins.  From the airport it is 90 minutes to Todos Santos and 3 hours to La Paz.  The boat for the camp site departs from La Paz @ 9am on the morning of your reservation.  It is an hour’s boat ride to your camp site, located on a secluded beach on Isla Espíritu Santo.

What is included?
Boat transfers to/from the island from La Paz, safari-style tents equipped with proper beds with fine linens, warm showers, gourmet cuisine and water activities.

What is the schedule at the camp?
Since you don’t have bring equipment, set up tents or cook meals you can spend each day doing exactly what pleases you.  Enjoy kayaking, snorkeling, water skiing, swimming with sea lions, stand up paddle boarding and fishing.  You can go hiking, bird watching, check out cave art and explore hidden lagoons and deserted beaches. Take time to read, nap, swim, sip margaritas and star gaze.
