I just toured a beautiful 16 room boutique hotel that will certainly be added to our list of optional accommodations for our clients.
Zero George Street is in the perfect location to wander to all the main sites, performance venues, shopping and restaurants in downtown Charleston. You even have access to their bicycles if you want to ride around town or venture across the Ravenel Bridge.
The property consists of three Charleston residences and two brick carriage houses that date back to 1804. The buildings are immaculately restored with state-of-the-art amenities and casually elegant guestrooms. You can relax any time of day on your furnished piazza overlooking the private courtyard, or have a drink in one of the beautifully appointed parlors.
Included in your stay is daily continental breakfast, WiFi, an evening wine and cheese pairing, and access to the 24-hour Miele coffee center.
You don’t have to travel far for dining at one of the most highly acclaimed restaurants in the area. The Zero Restaurant + Bar is open to the public Tuesday – Sunday evenings for à la carte dining. The Bar is open nightly with happy hour drink specials from 5 – 7 pm. The intimate restaurant has very limited seating and only takes a handful of reservations a night. When arranging your stay, we will make sure to arrange your dining reservations before arrival, if requested, to make sure you are able to enjoy Chef Petrillo’s fine dining experience.
Just one of the unique aspects of the property you will notice upon checking in is that the kitchen is completely open and right next to the reception desk. It is very neat to see the master chefs at work in an unexpected area such as this.
If you love to cook, want to learn to cook, or are looking to have a unique gourmet experience, cooking classes are offered on Mondays and Saturdays. Each class is limited to 8 students and includes 3-courses paired with wine ($150 per person). This is just another thing we can arrange for you before your arrival.
Zero George Street is a wonderful combination of old meeting with the new and we think it is the perfect boutique hotel for our clients traveling to Charleston.
