I recently had a chance to visit Azul Fives and wanted to share with you some details about this luxury all-inclusive resort that is an excellent option for your next vacation. This Karisma property is located in Playa Del Carmen, in Mexico’s Riviera Maya, just 35 minutes south of the Cancun airport. The property has 524 one-, two- and three-bedroom accommodations that are designed like residences — with an elegantly appointed master bedroom and separate living area. This is a great option for clients that have bigger families or just want to have more living area than the standard hotel room.
I loved the central area of the property called The Fives Plaza. It is set up like a little Mexican city block that is beautifully landscaped, has a Koi pond and a nearby cenote where you can see wildlife such as birds and monkeys. There are 3 restaurants and 2 bars in this area along with a few gift shops, tour offices, the fitness center and Vassa Spa. There is often a musician playing in the plaza. It is a great area to hang out and have a before or after dinner drink and relax or mingle.
I think this is an especially good property for families that have kids with a range of ages. There is a lot to keep everyone busy and happy. If you have young children we can arrange to have baby amenities such as a stroller, crib, bottle warmer in your room upon arrival.
For the children ages 4-12 there is the Azulitos Play House where they offer daily activities for the children that include games, arts & crafts, a kid’s pool, playground area and video games. Children under the age of 4 need to have an adult present to use the facility.
Teens ages 13-17 can enjoy their time at the Breeze Teens Club where they can watch the latest movies, music videos, sporting events, play Xbox and Wii, play games, take part in a DJ challenge, enjoy snacks from the snack area or hang out on the outdoor patio/fire pit area.
With 14 restaurants, 9 bars, a night club and spa with 11 treatment rooms adults will be just as happy. One of the newest bars is one of the coolest I have ever been to. Nineteen Ten is an authentic Mexican Cantina where you can choose from a wide selection of local and international beers, as well some of the best Tequila and Mezcal in Mexico. And don’t miss the opportunity to sing along to traditional Mexican folk songs in the weekly Mariachi appearances.
There are 5 pools to choose from. At the main pool and expansive beach area there are always games and activities being held for all ages. You can also use snorkel and kayak equipment at your leisure.
If you would like to do some local excursions it is a 10-minute taxi ride to downtown Playa del Carmen. You can do a day trip to Cozumel, go golfing or I can recommend other local excursions depending on your interests.
If you are planning a destination wedding there are a few locations for your ceremony. My favorite is the rooftop terrace. The view is stunning. They even have cameras to show a live feed of the ceremony on internet for people that could not come to wedding.
