With Azul Beach being a smaller property everything is easy to get to. I was very impressed with the size of the rooms and all of kid friendly amenities available. If you need a crib, pack-n-play, bottle warmer, baby food, monitors or any other item to make your room as comfortable as possible for your children it can be arranged. Kids will also love their evening treats left during turn-down service. I highly recommend the swim-out room category for hours of endless entertainment just outside your door.
There is a kids club where children ages 4 and up can be dropped off to play while the adults can get some alone time. If your children are under the age of 4 you can accompany them in the kids club or pay an additional fee for babysitting services.
The property has an association with the Nickelodeon Experience, so throughout the resort there are some Nickelodeon touches such as character themes in the play areas. Note that none of the touches seem cheesy or tacky. Once a week there is a character parade that all the children adore. For an additional fee, you can enjoy a character breakfast, a private sliming or a private birthday/event.
For a small property there is a wide range of food options with 6 restaurants. The cuisine varies from worldwide, Asian, Italian, Latin, contemporary and a yummy ice cream shop. All the restaurants offer kids menu items and any requests for dietary needs can be accommodated. From the layout and décor of the restaurants they have really thought of all the little details to keep both adults and children happy during their dining experiences.
For adult fun, there is a spa, fitness center and 4 bars. You must visit the only tequila bar in the Riviera Maya region with a frozen bar top to keep drinks cold at all times. Whether you are hanging out under the thatched lounge, in the pool or on the beach there are bars available in all three locations to keep your glasses filled. Make sure to do something special for yourself and schedule a massage in one of the beautiful huts on the beach.
