Beaches Turks and Caicos is a very popular all-inclusive family resort and for good reasons. They make it easy for families to enjoy their time in a beautiful Caribbean destination. They know all the excuses people have to not travel with young children and have come up with solutions for you to have a fun filled hassle free vacation.
Let’s begin with the problems and solutions they have found:
Problem: My family of 5 can never find accommodations that allow us to all stay in one room.
Solution: Beaches Turks & Caicos has 758 rooms with 43 different room categories. Many of the rooms accommodate 5 or more guests.
Problem: We want to enjoy family time and also have some adult-only time. It costs too much for childcare.
Solutions: Beaches is one of the very few resorts that has free childcare included from infants to teens during business hours. Most other resorts the childcare starts at age 4.
Problem: We have children both young and old and can never find a hotel that caters to their different needs.
Solution: Beaches Turks and Caicos has everything to keep young children happy including small pools and spray features, Sesame Street activities and a choo choo train. Older kids and teens can enjoy activities such as water slides, surf simulator, X-Box play lounge and teen club events.
Problem: It takes too long to get to the Caribbean.
Solution: It is a 1 hour and 45-minute flight from Fort Lauderdale to Turks & Caicos. It is a 3-hour flight from JFK.
Problem: It is a lot of work to get from the airport to the resort.
Solution: When you book a Beaches vacation the cost of the transfer is included in the total cost. (If you would like to upgrade to a private transfer that is an additional fee.) The Turks & Caicos airport is small and easy to navigate. Once you get through baggage and customs everyone heads out the same door and they show you to the area where you will meet your Beaches transfer shuttle. If you have small children and need a car seat just let your travel agent know in advance and they will put in a request to have one there for you. The transfer from the airport to the resort takes 15 minutes.
Problem: It is a lot of work getting the family off the property.
Solution: Beaches has everything you need on property; 21 gourmet restaurants, a 7,000 sq-ft retail village, a waterpark, 10 pools, a dive program and a beautiful beach. There is no need to leave the resort during your stay unless you would like to do off-site excursions that can be arranged either in advance with your travel agent or at the Island Routes excursion desk.
Problem: A member of our family has food allergies or special dietary needs/restrictions.
Solution: After booking your reservation your travel agent can supply you with alternative dining menus and upon arrival to the resort you can speak with a chef who will make a plan for your meals during your stay. (culinary needs include: allergies, gluten free, lactose free, vegetarian, peanut free options) *If you have butler or concierge level they can do this for you.
Problem: There is too much to pack when traveling with young children.
Solution: You can contact your travel agent before your trip to request a crib, pack-n-play, stroller or any other items that will make your stay more comfortable for all of your family members. If you run out of things such as diapers or sunblock the shops on property has a wide selection of items. You can also purchase tokens from the front desk and do laundry if needed during your stay.
Problem: Big resorts are hard to get around with children.
Solution: The resort is split up into 4 villages (Caribbean, French, Italian and Key West), while it might look overwhelming the first time you look at the resort map you will come to find everything is a lot closer than you think and the signs throughout the property make it easy to navigate where you are going. The young children also love the choo choo train that can take them from one village to another.
Problem: I don’t like having to plan my dining in advance.
Solution: There are no set dining times at Beaches. At any point in the day or night you will have multiple meal options. Whether it’s grab and go, stopping at a buffet or a la cart meal there is something for everyone. No dining reservations can be made in advance and only a few restaurants require reservations (such as adult-only dining or hibachi).
Problem: We spend a lot of money when we are on vacation.
Solution: All meals, drinks, taxes, tips, kids club, snorkeling, scuba diving (if certified), sailing, water skiing and land sports are included in the price of your vacation. The only things that are not required but if you would like to include are: additional excursions, spa treatments, gift shop items and family photo packages.
Results: Beaches has found a way to entertain young children, teenagers, multi-generational groups, couple’s trips or even girlfriend’s getaways. There is something for everyone and all you could want or need is accessible to you. No request is too small.
With one of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean and a one-of-a-kind Pirate Island Waterpark you will see why families go back again and again.
